I am 100% sure that I will be a homeroom teacher this semester.
I got on my nerves when I thought about it every time. But I still convinced myself that everything will be fine: while I am not very good at CONTROLLING students, I could manage a class very well.
A teacher who entered the school with me at the same time is leaving for another junior high. She told me that she would like to spend more time on teaching rather doing classroom management. Thus, she would like to teach in a senior high after getting her master's degree.
Her saying made me think of a saying from a junior teacher:
Some junior high school teachers view entering a senior high school (especially the very top schools) as a way to escape from dealing with trouble. I still hold the belief that it's worth spending time and efforts on adolescents who need more care and love.
I also dislike the people who teach in a senior high look down on elementary/ junior high school teachers. Without us, they can only hand over a bunch of trouble makers!
