LUNCH-BOX FROM THE LOVELY WIFE

因為很快就要回台灣了,所以,即便我的米早在一個月前就吃光,我還是忍著不添新貨。
I miss RICE!!! RICE !!! RICE!!! Since I am going to go back to Taiwan, I do not buy new rice even though I ate all of it one month ago.
也許,物極必反。這幾天上網,我居然瘋狂蒐集日本卡通便當的資料。幻想著:自己上班後可以做這種便當來吃、偶而也可以幫阿那答弄一個Hello Kitty讓他去辦公室炫耀!
Recently, I've been keen to search information about 'HOW TO MAKE A CREATIVE LUNCH FOR YOUR HUSBAND/KIDS.' Dreaming... I will do that for myself and my lover one day.
說到烹飪,我一直是很有興趣的。大學外住兩年、宜蘭教書三年,現在在國外唸書一年:我至少當了六年的老外!雖說煮不出滿漢全席,但要弄出像樣的家常菜還難不倒我。此外,礙於食材有限、烹煮用具缺乏、時間不足,其實煮來煮去就是那幾樣。但就因如此,我便開始重視小細節。如:波菜到底要怎樣弄才不會澀澀的?湯飯要怎樣料理才好吃?想吃白醬的義大利麵又怕熱量太高怎麼辦?生菜沙拉要怎麼用才美味?
While I am not a CHEF, I am kind of knowing how to cook well.
我後來發現,只要食材新鮮,美味指數便可飆升。
Just stick to "using fresh ingredient" !!!
天知道我超超超挑食的!後來我發現,這根本是我媽的錯!(老母OS:煮給你吃還意見一堆)
因為有些不討喜的食物(如:味道很重的蔬菜)是要花心思佐料。水煮、蒸的會破會口感,那只能用炸的(如:茄子)。
Also, I believe there are mix and match rules of cooking methods and foods.
新鮮度也要講究。比如我之前很討厭小黃瓜切碎加美乃滋(噁),到高中畢業前我都不知道小黃瓜的味道是怎樣。直到大學時,男友帶我去一間頗知名的鐵板燒屋,他們的開胃菜是將“新鮮“的小黃瓜、芹菜、紅蘿蔔切條,冰鎮起來,沾醬~歐一西。後來,我發現,只要用來生吃的蔬果不新鮮或是乾乾的,都會令我做噁。
好拉~扯遠了!

我聽我媽越洋跟我抱怨,我大弟都喜歡外食,不吃家裡的飯,讓她困擾。我在這磨刀霍霍,喔不!是摩拳擦掌準備回台灣姊代母職,煮給兩個弟弟吃。畢竟我爸媽現在吃的養生菜(無鹽無油無糖無味素),怎麼可能會對年輕人的胃?
My mom complained to me that my younger brothers does not appreciate her cooking that makes sense to me. This is because my parents are the people who only eat 'natural food without over cooking'. These types of meals, of course, are not young people's cup of tea. Well, wait for me. I will make some adorable lunch box for them (my two younger brother) and test whether I have the potential to be a housewife.
